It’ s just for people with disposable income. The double barrel 1911 is way cooler anyway :

cops will be loving them

Not really. Its twice as heavy and doesn't offer any more firepower. If you want more lethality a larger round would make more sense, as you are carrying a 10 lb gun instead of 20 lbs. Both those bullets are just going to hit the same spot.

Something like that is purely novelty. From a tactical standpoint it's leagues less effective than a single barrel.

Also, he’s completely incorrect about one thing.
if both barrels fired simultaneously from a single trigger, it is *not* a machine gun, it’s “volley fire”, and 100% legal. the dual-barrel 1911 has a single trigger and is completely legal.
THIS:
is a machine gun for two reasons - 1. it’s full auto, duh. 2. the gas port on one links to the other, so with each trigger pull (even in semi-auto) it fires one barrel, *then* the other. The delay is the difference.

there’s only one real way you could argue a tactical advantage for that thing, and it’s a completely stupid thing.
One side could be 5.56/.223, and the other side could be .300BLK. Then you could select what round to fire based on what you needed. The problem, of course, is not mixing up the ammo. 300 will chamber in 5.56/.223, but when you fire it...
not so good.

One word: aggie.

I’ve actually held one. It’s far too big. I couldn’t get anything resembling a comfortable grip. It’s purely a “toy”. Unloaded it’s still pretty heavy. They also cost more than buying 2 good 1911s.
I watched a video a while back for a review. Between the extra recoil and poor craftsmanship, the gun was literally falling apart.

I wondered about that statement as well because of the double barrel 1911. I just assumed the rules were different because it’s a rifle or I misunderstood how the 1911 worked

Novelty guns confuse m e consideing how expensive some regular ones are.

Yeah. I’ll throw Bond Arms into that. Outside of their new (to them) bullpup pistol, they just make tiny guns that cost as much as big, more functional and complex guns. The. You have average-good guns priced ridiculously high just because of a name attached.

No, the rules are the same. Either he doesn’t know the law or he wanted to make it sound cooler for the video.
